SoCal
so unfortunately i don't have picrues because im not much of a photographer, but i guess words will do just fine...
Saturday i woke up at like 8 or so, running on about 4 or so hours of sleep. my dad and i drove to the airport and took off for Orange County. we landed in the John Wayne Airport which is literally like 2 seconds away from where Natasha lives down in Irvine. funny thing is, the airport looked A LOT like the airport in oahu we fly out of in Hawaii...strange.
anyways, we mut up with Josh,Natasha, and their dad Jimmy to start the journey for apartment hunting and heres how it basically went down.
1.Sycamoore Valley- located in Fountain Valley CA. pretty good sized property with about 4 pools and 13 Laundry Facilities. very nice insides of rooms and propertys. overall very nice.
2.Valley Park- Located in Fountain Valley CA. a very old, over priced run down piece of pink shit, lol. not much to say about this place except that the basketball court looked a lot like one you'd find in jail. no good.
3.Hollybrook- located in Westminster CA. place was aight. not much to show i suppose and the lady seemned kinda unsure of everything. it is located in the city that is right in-between both of our schools though so thats kinda nice.
4.Beach Creek- located in Garden Grove CA. very nice place. the grounds were well kept. Garden Grove itself seemned like there was little in the town, and it was a little ways away from from my school but do able.
5.Cascade Terrace- located in Westminster CA. VERY close to Huntington Beach which is kinda cool. kind of old looking structure. well kept. nobody was there though so we couldnt look around.
6.Springdale Villas- located in Westminster CA. cheapest place so far. located right next to the freeway which could be a good or bad thing. the apartment that would have been available in the next two weeks, the people got evicted from. they had a good sized pool, with a volleyball net in a sand pit. very cool.
7.Archstone Apartments- Located in Fountain Valley CA. VERY nice property, and kept to the best condition. definately the nicest place we saw so far. that being said, of course it was pricey, and nothing would have been covered(water, garbage, electricity).
So overall we decided to go and live at Sycamore Valley in Fountain valley which is conveniently located the same distance from my school and Josh's so it worked out beautifully. so ya'll know where to come visit us now!
after the searching on Saturday, we went to meet up with Lauren in/near L.A. We ate at a very nice place called B.J.'s where apparently a lot of celebritys go to eat at. its pretty tight. later we drove to hollywood to watch pirates of the carribbean at the El Capitan theatre. let me tell you THAT WAS AMAZING
they completely decked out the theatre pirate style, and even had a live Organ player playing the organ before the movie started! how crazy is that!? they had a little light showing before too which was really awesome. i really liked the movie, although ive heard plenty of mixed reviews. the experience of the whole movie was amazing though.
finally we arrived back to our Hotel in Long Beach and crashed at around 3:15 a.m. then, after doing some more apartment hunting, we left Souther California and came back up here.
i am SOOOOOOO excited to be moving down there. there is SOOOO much to do that its ridiculous. it's really too bad some people are not taking whats around them to their full advantage because Josh and i sure as hell will! i can't wait! i'll post the address here later so people can either write, or jot down directions, lol.
you know, things are really lookin good for me. :0)
